Self care doesn’t have to be big, can be as simple as:
· Going to the toilet when you need to
· Making yourself a drink/filling a bottle of water for yourself in the morning
· Making yourself lunch
· Prioritising yourself and taking baby along (i.e. if you need a walk and some fresh air, can baby nap in the pushchair?)
· Muting social media / triggering contacts
· Feeling in control - things like TOM https://theorganisedmum.com/
Look for achievable self care ideas that work for you. It can be helpful to make a note on your phone so you can access them quickly and to think about ideas for different situations, for example when you are at home or out in public.
